Socket Radio

The Socket Radio™ is a compact, integrated 33K baud World Modem™ compatible wireless modem.  .  The modem supports serial host communications via flexible internal UART or parallel connection through parallel port.  The modem conforms to the industry standard World Modem™ mechanical and interface specifications.  Because of its built-in features and flexibility, many applications and OEM products can be created using the Socket  Radio.  This modem features a multi-point network protocol with error detection and correction.  The host connection and form factor are compatible with the CCI World Modem™, making existing designs more flexible by allowing designers to have both wire line and wireless versions of their product without designing new hardware.  The small size, low power consumption and upgradeability make the Socket Radio a perfect fit for many embedded applications.
